hmm met up with some old friends on sat! i think it has been about 4 or 5 years since i last saw them?! hahaZ..been too busy studying i guess..there were supposed to be 5 of us, but we lost touch with derek (hmm his ff8 cd is still with me, oops). so in the end aoshi, jasmine and cf turned up. kinda couldn’t recog them at the start cos they really have changed..aoshi’s long hair is gone..jas and cf grew so tall! we din realli plan what to do, so in the end wasted a lot of time stoning. had lunch at suntec, then watched movie at lido. the show was stupid, really stupid, it really made me look like an idiot watching it. but aoshi seemed to enjoy the show (dunno y?). on the whole it was great meeting up with them! shd meet up with more friends everi now and then, if not surely will lose touch!

anyway it’s end of july! i always get high when it’s the end of a month! 1 less month to ORD! but it’s going to get tougher in aug with all the shiong activities coming up! what a way to celebrate my birthday! oh sian..just feel depressed thinking about it.

i realised i like to run! running is fun! but i think 10km is too much. 4 or 5 km is just nice! my timing was 55 min for 10 km and i still failed the Guards requirement! hmm dunno how they train. haiZ.

hmm just wanna share how to evaluate 15^2 , 25^2 , 35^2 …..95^2 easily.

generalli for a two digit number ending with 5, it can be expressed as (10a +5) where a is the tens digit.

so (10a + 5) ^2 = 100a^2 + 100 a + 25 = 100 (a)(a +1) + 25

so last two digits must be 25. first 2 digits must be a(a+1)

eg. for 65 ^2, a = 6 , so first 2 digits is 6 * 7 = 42

therefore, 65^2 = 4225.

so for 85^2, a = 8 , first 2 digits is 8 * 9 = 72

85^2 = 7225!
